Meet Our breast care specialists

Amanda Lackey, MD

Radiologist

Born and raised in Ohio, Amanda earned an athletic scholarship to swim for Miami University, a division one school in her home state.  She went on to serve as the team’s co-captain her senior year, and through swimming learned much of the discipline and dedication that has carried her through her post-graduate training.  She graduated with honors from Northeast Ohio Medical University in 2010 with her husband and first daughter in tow, which allowed her to match into a sought-after Diagnostic Radiology Residency program at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.  Amanda excelled in residency and out, winning the Roentgen Resident/Fellow Research award and by adding five more beautiful babies to their growing family (including two sets of twins).  After residency graduation in 2015, Amanda pursued her passion for Breast Imaging by completing an additional year of specialized training at The Ohio State University.  In 2016 she was blessed with the opportunity to work at a high-volume center practicing 100% breast imaging, alongside her husband Logan, in Springfield, MO where they added their seventh and final child to the mix.  Springfield has been a wonderful place to raise their seven young kids who are active in sports and other activities.  Now Amanda and Logan are combining their specialized breast imaging expertise with their own brand of exceptional patient care to better serve the Springfield community that is home.

Logan Lackey, II, MD, MBA

Radiologist

Logan was born and raised in Forrest City, a small town in Eastern Arkansas.  After excelling in his undergraduate studies at the University of Arkansas as a Razorback, he chose to continue his post-graduate education there by obtaining his Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from the Walton School of Business.  His passion for a career in medicine remained strong, and the skills he gained in business school propelled him to success in medical school.  It was during that time that he met and married Amanda, his study partner.  Logan graduated with honors from Northeast Ohio Medical University in 2010 and landed a spot in the Diagnostic Radiology Residency class at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.  He enjoyed all aspects of Radiology, but the practice of Breast Imaging with its unique patient interaction and delicate procedures was his favorite.  He capped off his training with a Breast Imaging Fellowship year at Kettering Health in Dayton, Ohio before setting his family’s roots in Springfield, Missouri.  Practicing 100% breast imaging at a busy center since 2016 has been a blessing through which he has honed his skills and now he is excited to bring his expertise to the community in a new, fresh way.
